FREE account for larger groups of children. Sign up now for free membership and full access to all site and game features

We offer a special and easy way for healthcare, schools and non profit organizations to manage large number of logins for their customers.

You can create your FREE account for larger groups of children by registering as an organization. As an organization account, you will be able to segment your children into groups, if desired. For example, a school may want to organize their children by classes. Any teacher can log in (only one login and password is needed for the organization) and then select her “group” and see the progress of her specific class. We also have aggregate reports to view the progress of the entire organization.

Please note, when registering as an organization, you do not need a parent account. This is completely optional. For example, a healthcare organization that is working with a parent and child may want to create a parent account that is associated with a specific child. This will allow the parent to have their login and access their child’s progress reports.

Testimonials

“As a nurse and mother of three kids this site appealed to me right away. It is a fun and educational way of getting kids to make good decisions when eating.”

“As an educator I found the site very useful for elementary school age children. The Nourish Interactive web site can be a useful tool for small group activities where students work in collaborative pairs or teams. This site would be a useful tool for teacher presentation and independent exploration. I think that the site lends itself to the learning style of special needs students that have support from a mentor or additional facilitator. The Meal Planner could be used by upper elementary or middle school children when planning nutrition projects. I would recommend a written follow up activity about why they made the food choice that they did. I plan on sharing this site with the media specialist at the schools in our district.”

Childhood Obesity Epidemic

The obesity epidemic is spreading much faster than previous data suggested. By the end of the decade the International Journal of Pediatric Obesity data indicates:

  • 38% of children in the European Union will be overweight
  • 50% of children in the North and South America will be overweight

Obesity-associated annual hospital costs for children and youth more than tripled over two decades, rising from $35 million in 1979-1981 to $127 million in 1997-1999. But the cost of childhood obesity is more than the economic impact to our society.

Over the next few decades, life expectancy for the average American could decline by as much as 5 years unless aggressive efforts are made to slow rising rates of obesity, according to a team of scientists supported in part by the National Institutes of Health.

The importance of nutrition and exercise needs to be emphasized at a young age. Our program is designed to teach children in a fun interactive way while involving the parents.

Here is what the American Dietetic Association says about nutrition education:

It is the position of The American Dietetic Association that nutrition education is essential for the public to achieve and maintain optimal nutritional health. Nutrition education should be an integral component of all health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance programs, through incorporation into all appropriate nutrition communication, promotion, and education systems.
