Tomorrow is Global Handwashing Day

Global Handwashing Day was originally created for children and schools, but can be celebrated by anyone promoting handwashing with soap. Each year, over 200 million people are involved in celebrations in over 100 countries around the world. Global Handwashing is endorsed by a wide array of governments, international institutions, civil society organizations, NGOs, private companies, and individuals.

Remember good handwashing is the number one method to help reduce the chances of catching germs.

Here's some quick reminders:

• Model hand washing for your children!. If they see you washing your hands it will be a good reminder to them.

• Wash hands together and make it fun!

• Teach them to sing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” while washing hands (20 seconds).

• Have your child pick out a special hand washing soap.

• Help your child reach the sink by placing a stool in front of it for them to stand on when you are with them.

• Teach them to wash their hands.
