The Benefits Of Exercise For Children

Michelle Mirizzi • MS, Registered Dietitian • Jul 15, 2012

Why is physical activity important for my child?

Children are less physically fit than they were a generation ago.

Inactive children, when compared to active children, weigh more and have higher blood pressure. Most importantly, inactive children are more likely to become inactive adults.

It is recommended your child be active at least 60 minutes a day.  That can be done all at once or in shorter periods.  When it comes to physical activity, every little bit counts!

Reasons To Keep Your Child Active

There are many benefits to keeping your child active.   children playing
