Grilled Summer Fruit Fondue

Nutritious fruit for a delicious dessert


  • Low-fat plain yogurt 1 1/2 cups
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Papaya 1
  • strawberries 10
  • Bananas 2
  • Cherries, pitted 10
  • Juice from one lemon
  • Brown sugar 1 ounce


Kids: In a medium bowl, mix the yogurt and vanilla together. Set aside.
Together: Peel and clean all the fruit.
Adults: Cut bananas and papaya into one-inch cubes.
Kids: Place fruit on four skewers, alternating each type of fruit.
Kids: Squeeze each kabob with fresh lemon juice and lightly coat each skewer with brown sugar.
Adults: Grill skewers until the fruit is warm. Serve with yogurt mixture.
