Celebrate Worldwide Day of Play and Family Dinner Day!

There are some fun events coming up this week for families and kids! Saturday is Worldwide Day of Play and Monday is Family Day , a day to enjoy family dinner together!

Learn more about the activities,  join others in your local community or take some time to celebrate the events with your family in your own way at home. We will share some ideas on how to participate, so you can have fun and healthy time with your kids on these special days.

Plus, you'll find facts about the importance of play and family dinners and some great resources to support your family to make playtime and family dinner a healthy (and FUN!) part of any week!

Saturday September 24 is the Worldwide Day of Play- Nickelodeon event, with participants/partners; Let's Move, The National Park Service and more great organizations that support being active, healthy and the power of play!

The main event is in Washington DC with activities, organizations and celebrities. You can also watch the Worldwide Day of Play videos: "Why I Play"  to see why these organization and celebrities promote play. On Saturday. you can celebrate in your own area with your children by going out to play in your own backyard, neighborhood or local playground or natural park recreation area. Why Play?
