Healthy substitutes for your favorite Thanksgiving holiday recipes-healthy ingredients chart
Getting ready to start cooking. Me, too!
I was just on the phone with my mom discussing the menu for Thanksgiving. We have a big family so we all work together to cook the meal (but somehow I am always the organizer-but I love it, so I am not complaining)
One thing we always do is make sure we have a lot of great healthy side dishes along with our favorites dishes. My mom is really good about using healthy substitutes in recipe makeovers to make her foods lower in fat and calories and high in great taste. She was raised in Peru with really good healthy cooking habits and she has maintained that all this time.
Maybe that is why she is 84 and completely healthy and very active. This Thanksgiving, I want to say “thanks mom” for teaching me healthy cooking habits (even though I may not have always appreciated it when I was young)
Here is a list of healthy substitutes for recipe ingredients you can print out and use in your recipes to make your favorite Thanksgiving meal healthier but still taste great! (If this is your first time using substitutes then you may have to experiment a little)

I’m not a stick thin model by any means but I do like to stay healthy. When the holidays come around I usually stay in big clothes and hide all the mirrors. After a recommendation from a co-worker, she told me to check out a nutritionist named Rose Cole. I went to her site http://www.RoseCole.com/HolidayCookbook and found some amazing recipes that are great tasting and healthy! I highly recommend you check it.
